* Mr. Stout’s 1st & 3rd hr classes report to Ms. Cullett’s Rm and all other classes report to Mrs. Hemsley’s Rm

SENIORS: TODAY @ 11:30 AM you are required to attend the senior meeting in the auditorium with Mrs. Rosewall regarding expectations for your last two weeks in school.

Student Council members will meet today @ 12:45 PM thru eagle advisory in the Zoom Rm with Mrs. Donald.

The SICL track meet is @ Sully today @ 4:00 PM.  Team members are excused @ 1:15 and will leave @ 1:30 PM.

The JH track meet is @ EBF (Eddyville) starting @ 4:30 PM.  Runners are dismissed @ 2:15 PM with the bus leaving @ 2:30 PM.

The S/K soccer match is in Sigourney today against West Branch @ 5:00 PM.

Students in Gr. 8-11:  By TODAY, choose your classes for next year.  Complete this through a link on your school email that was sent to you.  If you do not do this, Mrs. Donald will need to choose your classes.

 The”Honors Tea Awards Night” is Wednesday night starting @ 6:30 PM in the auditorium and then the “2026 Senior Awards Night” will follow at 7:00 PM.  

JUNIORS:  Please sign up at the office by Wednesday to work at the Keota Educ Found Golf Tourn.  A few are needed to help with set up Fri., June 5 @ 5:00 PM & the day of the tournament Sat., June 6 with time slots from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM.

          The KCSD is hosting a “Retirement Open House” to celebrate Jane Edwards and Colleen Hart Thursday from 4:00-6:00 PM @ Lagos Acres for their years of dedication to the Keota School District.

The Keota Fun Days committee is looking for volunteers to help with the “kids events” at  Fun Days on June 13th from 1:00-3:00 PM.  This would be a great way to earn silver cord hours & upcoming 9th graders can start earning hours after June 1st.  Contact Cienna Crawford if you are interested @ 319-330-5809 or email to [email protected]

ALL students:  The FCS room and all equipment is off limits to students for the rest of the year.   We have a new teacher, Mrs. Wittenburg, trying to get the room cleaned and set up for next year.  

 Students in gr. 9-12 are encouraged to submit artwork to Ms. Vest before Wednesday @ 4:00 PM for the SICL Art Show to be held in KEOTA this week. 

2026 SICL

At Keota High School

                                             Open to the public: Thursday from 6-8 PM  AND  Friday from 8 AM-4 PM

SICL ART SHOW CRITERIA:

Submissions must include: Student’s first & last name & grade which can be placed on a sticky note.  Ms. Vest will put labels on the artwork.  

Work can be turned in for these categories:  Drawing, painting, photography, computer graphics, pottery, printmaking, 2-D media, sculpture, and fibers. 

There are two divisions:  

Division 1 - 9th & 10th grade                            Division 2 - 11th & 12th grade

• Each division & category will be awarded 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place along with Best of Show, Teacher’s Choice, and People’s Choice.  Judging for best of show will be done Wednesday after school.

Schools will be coming to KEOTA HIGH SCHOOL to view the SICL Art Show both Thursday & Friday, May 7 & 8 during the day.

The Art Show is open to the public Thursday from 6-8 PM and Friday8 from 8 AM-4 PM.
