     Quad County Soil Judging - 8:00 AM-3:00 PM

TODAY is School Picture Day for the KCSD with Halverson Photography.  Students are instructed to remove hats, jackets, and sweatshirts before their picture is taken.  Extra picture envelopes are at the office if needed.  Picture envelopes must be turned into the photographer when you have your picture taken, unless you placed your order on-line.  Parents can order online up to 48 hours after picture day (with no service fee) at https://shop.imagequix.com/g1001401536  

Tonight there is an “Open House & Tour” of the KCSD building facilities in the auditorium beginning @ 6:00 PM.  This is open to the public.

Students in Gr 9-11 not taking a social studies class this semester must talk to Mr. Weeks ASAP.

Student Council members will have a meeting Wednesday @ 12:35 PM in the Zoom Rm with Mrs. Donald.

The S/K Homecoming Parade will be held Wednesday night @ 7:00 PM in Sigourney followed by Boom Night at the Cobra Stadium.

Seniors:  A rep from IHCC will be here Wednesday to visit with ALL Seniors during 5th hour.  Report to the Zoom Rm for this presentation on college credits, options after HS and have questions answered about IHCC.

Juniors:  The PSAT, which is a practice SAT test, is a 3 hour test that you take during school hours on Oct. 20th.  Contact Mrs. Donald by Thursday if you would like to take the test.  Those who score in the top 2% have a chance at Merit scholarships.  Otherwise it is good practice for the SAT and ACT tests.  See Mrs. Donald with questions.

 Completed National Honor Society applications for 10th thru 12th graders are due to Mrs. Conrad by 3:45 PM Thursday.  Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and are on track for earning your Silver Cord are eligible to apply.  On track for Silver Cord means you have earned at least 50 volunteer hours per year beginning with the summer after 8th grade.  Applications are available on the website or at the front desk.
