Friday - NO CLASSES - Staff PD Day (8 AM-Noon)

     The JV/Var cross country meet is @ Hillcrest Academy today with the HS (B) running @ 6:30 & the HS (G) running @ 7:00 PM.  Transportation will leave at 5:15 PM.

The Keota Athletic Boosters “Super Nacho Bar” will be tonight in the cafeteria from 4:30-7:00 PM.  All booster club members & fall athletes eat for free.   Anyone else may pay $8.00 per person to eat. 

     The volleyball game tonight is against Pekin starting @ 5:30 PM.

     Students in grades 7-12 interested in joining FFA: Pick up a membership form from Mr. Jamison in the ag room.     Membership forms and dues should be turned into Mr. Jamison by Wednesday morning @ 7:30 AM at the FFA meeting in the auditorium.  

THURSDAY is the last day Keota students may purchase a “Student Athletic Activity Pass” for $50.00 from the office.

This pass will admit you into all Keota SICL home Jr. High, JV & Varsity volleyball, basketball, softball & baseball games and JH football games for the 2026-27 school year.  THIS PASS WILL NOT ADMIT YOU INTO THE JV & VARSITY FOOTBALL GAMES AS THOSE ARE DISTRICT LEVEL GAMES.

There are no classes Friday (PD Day for staff) or Monday, Sept. 7 for Labor Day.

Juniors & Seniors:  On Wed., Sept. 16 Kirkwood Comm. College is hosting a “College Fair” with over 70 colleges, trade schools, & military people to visit with from all over Iowa.  You are invited to sign up in Mrs. Donald’s room by Thurs., Sept. 10th if interested in attending with Mrs. Donald.  You will leave @ 9:00 AM and return around Noon.
