There are no classes Friday (PD Day for staff) or Monday, Sept. 7 for Labor Day.
FRIDAY, Sept. 4: The S/K football game Friday is at Wilton with kickoff set for 7:00 PM. The bus will pick up Keota players at the high school @ 3:50 PM.
MONDAY, Sept. 7: The JV football game is @ Wilton and will begin @ 6:00 PM.
TUESDAY, Sept. 8: The JH football games are in Keota against Washington with the 8th grade playing @ 4:30 PM and the 7th grade playing @ 6:00 PM. Players are dismissed today @ 3:00 PM.
TUESDAY, Sept. 8: The XC meet is at the Sigourney Golf Club. Runners are dismissed @ 2:55 to leave @ 3:10. The schedule for tonight is: JH @ 4:30, HS(G) @ 5:00 & HS(B) @ 5:30 PM.
SENIORS: Go to EA for attendance today and then report to the auditorium for a meeting w/Mrs. Rosewall.
The Keota school board meeting will be held Wednesday @ 4:30 PM in the HS student lounge.
Tryouts for the fall play 
will be held Wednesday night at 7:00 PM and Thursday morning at 7:00 AM in the auditorium. If interested in trying out and these times do not work for you, please contact Gina Bennett or Michael McNurlen.
Students in grades 9-12: If you are interested in Student Council, you may pick up an application form from Mrs. Donald. Applications are due back by Thursday. You need to meet the following criteria in order to be in Student Council:
- Have a current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Be passing all current classes
- Attend Student Council meetings & events with no more than 5 misses, even if they are excused. This includes highway ditch cleanups & other out of school activities.
- Meetings will be held in the mornings on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:30 AM in the Zoom Room upstairs. The first SC meeting will be 9-16-26.
Students interested in Peer Mentoring in the elementary, please see Mrs. Donald to sign up or ask questions. You will need to give up a study hall each week to participate. Sign up no later than Thursday.
Any students in grades 10-12 interested in taking the ACT Test? Friday is the last day for students to register on-line for the October 17th ACT testing date. Talk to Mrs. Donald if you have questions.
Juniors & Seniors: On Wed., Sept. 16 Kirkwood Comm. College is hosting a “College Fair” with over 70 colleges, trade schools, & military people to visit with from all over Iowa. You are invited to sign up in Mrs. Donald’s room by Thurs., Sept. 10th if interested in attending with Mrs. Donald. You will leave @ 9:00 AM and return around Noon.
