          Fall Play MORNING Tryouts - 7:00 AM - Auditorium  

The Keota school board meeting will be held today @ 4:30 PM in the HS student lounge.

The JH/HS XC meet is @ Davis Co. (Bloomfield) today.  Runners are excused at 1:55 & will leave @ 2:10 PM.  The schedule will be:  JH @ 4:30; HS (G) @ 5:00; HS (B) @ 5:30 PM.

The JH volleyball match is @ English Valleys today starting @ 4:15 PM.  Players are dismissed @ 3:10 with the bus leaving @ 3:20 PM.

The VB game tonight is against Colfax-Mingo starting @ 5:00 PM.  

Students in grades 9-12:  If you are interested in Student Council, you may pick up an application form from Mrs. Donald.  Applications are due back by Thursday.  You need to meet the following criteria in order to be in Student Council:

• Have a current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Be passing all current classes
• Attend Student Council meetings & events with no more than 5 misses, even if they are excused.  This includes highway ditch cleanups & other out of school activities.
• The meeting schedule has been changed to the last 15 minutes of lunch (12:35 PM) on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month in the Zoom Room.
• The first SC meeting will be THURSDAY, Sept. 17 @ 12:35 PM in the Zoom Rm.

  Students interested in Peer Mentoring in the elementary, please see Mrs. Donald to sign up or ask questions.  You will need to give up a study hall each week to participate.  Sign up no later than Thursday.

  Any students in grades 10-12 interested in taking the ACT Test?  Friday is the last day for students to register on-line for the October 17th ACT testing date.  Talk to Mrs. Donald if you have questions.

National Honor Society applications for 10th thru 12th graders are now available.  Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and are on track for earning your Silver Cord are eligible to apply.  On track for Silver Cord means you have earned at least 50 volunteer hours per year beginning with the summer after 8th grade.  Applications will be available on the website or at the front desk.  Completed applications are due to Mrs. Conrad by 3:45 PM Thurs., Sept. 24th.

Recently the school was given a donation of good used tennis shoes of varying sizes. If you are interested in a pair of these, please stop by Mrs. Donald's room by Tuesday, Sept. 15 to see if there is something you would like. The shoes will then be donated to the local clothes closet.
