Wednesday – Jrs. & Srs. interested:  Kirkwood Comm. College “College Fair” w/Mrs. Donald  @  Cedar Rapids - 8:10 AM-12:20 PM

Friday – NO CLASSES (PD Mtg Day)

HS Volleyball Games

At Highland tonight @ 5:30 PM.  The team bus leaves @ 4:15 PM.

Jrs. & Srs.:  Kirkwood Comm. College Fair Opportunity

Juniors & Seniors signed up will be attending the college fair Wed., Sept. 11, 2024 in Cedar Rapids.  The bus will leave KHS @ 8:10 AM and return @ 12:20 PM.

Yearbooks

Order forms are at the office for anyone interested in ordering a 2024-25 yearbook.

Gr. 9-12 interested in Student Council

If you would like to be on the Student Council for the 24-25 school year, please pick up an application in the office or from Mrs. Donald.  These must be completed and returned by Thursday.  The requirements to be on Student Council are:

1.  Have a current cum GPA of 3.2

2.  Must be passing all classes

3.  Attend Student Council meetings and events with no more than 3 misses

4.  Meetings will be held the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of each month during lunch

School Board Mtg - Thursday in Elem. Library @ 6:00 PM

National Honor Society Applications -

For students in grades 9-12:  NHS applications are available on-line.  To qualify you  must have a cum GPA of 3.5 and have 50 documented Silver Cord hours.  Applications are due to Mrs. Conrad no later than Friday, Sept. 20.

Picture "Absentee/Retake" Day:

Students who were absent for school pictures or decide they want to have picture retakes will have this done on Mon., Oct. 14 at approx. 10:30 AM.  This will include students who missed because of attending the Washington or Sigourney academy classes.
