2026 Bond Referendum - Vote November 3

Keota Community School District's school buildings have been serving our community since 1958 and 1970. Many of the systems that heat these buildings, carry their water, and keep students safe are well past their useful lives. This proposed plan addresses the top priorities that were identified through facility assessments, staff feedback, community meetings, and School Board discussions. These projects can't be deferred any longer. The plan is not to build something new, but to protect what the Keota community has already built. Fixing these problems now is the most fiscally responsible path. Waiting only makes it more expensive.

Together, We Invest In Our Students.

Together, We Invest In Keota's Future.

WHY NOW?

- Many systems are at the end of their life, and delaying increases long-term costs. Acting now protects students and preserves the districts assests.

- Rising construction costs make delays increasingly expensive.

TAX RATE IMPACT

- Under this plan, the tax levy is project to increase by $1.90 per $1,000 of taxable property value, a modest, transparent cost to protect the investment this community has already made in its schools. Use the tax rate impact table to gaudge/estimate your tax rate impact.

- Don't know your taxable valuation? Search for your property using Beacon Schneider resource links per your county: Keokuk | Washington.
