Golf Tournament
The primary fundraiser for the foundation scholarship fund is the annual golf tournament. It is held yearly on the first Sunday of June at Lagos Acres Country Club in Keota. A great time is had by all and the proceeds go to a worthwhile cause. Businesses and individuals are generous with money and raffle items.
The 23rd Keota Education Foundation Golf Tournament was held Sunday June 4, 2023, 22 teams (88 golfers) played in a 4 person best shot at Lagos Acres Golf Club. The entry fee was $35.00 per players. We had a great day with beautiful weather! The tournament started at 11:00 am and ended around 6:30 pm. At that time, the golf teams were divided into 4 flights and prizes were awarded to the top 3 teams in each flight. Once the golf prizes were awarded we had the annual raffle with approx 50 prizes including a Yeti cooler, gift certificates, Hawkeye Bean Bag Set, rounds of golf, and many more. Raffle tickets were sold before and during the golf tournament. Overall, we had a lot of great volunteer help and had a very successful golf tournament and raffle. All proceeds from the day went to the Keota Education Foundation to support the scholarship fund and to enhance educational opportunities in the school system!
